WE SHARE IN CHRIST'S SUFFERING
For just as the sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is abundant through Christ. (2 Cor 1:5)

We share in His suffering 2 Cor 1:5
We have been called to suffer because He suffered for us. 1 Pet 2:20-21 (Remember, He also was called to suffer. See Christ's Obedience)
People will hate and persecute us just as they did Him. John 15:18-21
Christ suffered, died and was glorified. To be with Him and share in His eternal life, we must be willing to serve and follow - even unto death. John 12:23-28
To gain eternal rewards, we must be willing to drink His "cup" of suffering. Matt 20:21-23
To live and reign with Him, we must endure and die with Him. 2 Tim 2:11-12
Paul desired to know the fellowship of His suffering so that he would share the triumph of His resurrection. Phil 3:10-11 (See The dead will be raised)
Paul counted all things loss in order to know Christ and the fellowship of His sufferings. Phil 3:8-11
Paul rejoiced in his suffering, knowing that His afflictions fulfilled Christ's purpose. Col 1:24-26
We have been crucified with Christ. Gal 2:20-21
Followers of Christ share in His death, so that His resurrected life may be manifested in their bodies. 2 Cor 4:7-18
The message of the cross sounds foolish to the lost, but to us it is the power and wisdom of God. 1 Cor 1:18-25
